Local leaders to sign Military Community Covenant Thursday

The Covenant

FORT LEE, Va. – Top elected officials from six local communities will join Fort Lee leaders in signing a covenant in support of military members and their families here Thursday.

WHAT: Military Community Covenant Signing

WHO: Leaders from Fort Lee, Chesterfield County, Colonial Heights, Dinwiddie County, Hopewell, Petersburg and Prince George County

WHEN: Thursday, Aug. 18, 11-11:30 a.m.

WHERE: Lee Club, Fort Lee

The Military Community Covenant symbolizes the community’s commitment to local military personnel and their families.

Signatories to the covenant include: Maj. Gen. Darrell Williams, Combined Arms Support Command and Fort Lee commanding general; Command Sgt. Maj. Nathaniel Bartee, CASCOM command sergeant major; Col. Adam Butler, Fort Lee garrison commander; Command Sgt. Maj. Clarence Richardson, Fort Lee command sergeant major; Steve Elswick, chair of the Chesterfield County Board of Supervisors; Colonial Heights Mayor Gregory Kochuba; Brenda Ebron-Bonner, chair of the Dinwiddie County Board of Supervisors; Hopewell Mayor Brenda Pelham; Petersburg Mayor W. Howard Myers; and Bill Robertson, chair of the Prince George County Board of Supervisors.
