(Prince George, VA) – Wanted!! Enrollees for Senior Citizens Police Academy

Are you tired of working in your garden? Did the fishing hole dry up this year? Have you decided that you retired too early and are bored out of your mind? Police want you, senior citizens of Prince George County, to sign up for our third annual senior citizens police academy!

Each year, the Prince George County Police Department facilitates a series of sessions designed to inform senior citizens of the basic functions of the police, sheriff, and Commonwealth Attorney’s office.

Sessions are held Tuesdays and Fridays from 2 PM to 4:30 PM for a period of 10 weeks. Topics include, police operations, criminal investigations, K-9 demonstration, community policing initiatives, frauds and scams, Commonwealth Attorney overview, victim witness program, and Sheriff’s Department overview. This informative academy gives attendees valuable knowledge and skills that will enable them to become more active in assisting our community and understanding some of the important programs that we provide.

Please contact our Community Policing Unit at (804) 733-2773 to sign up now! Classes start September 6th.
