BOS Approves Funding To
Begin Fire & EMS Museum

The Board of Supervisors at its December 13 meeting voted to provide funding to the Heritage Center to support its effort to establish a Fire & EMS Museum.

The BOS amended its agenda and took up a funding request by Heritage Center Director Carol Bowman for $5,000. The BOS approved the request unanimously.

Bowman said the funds, which will come from the Tourism Fund, will be used to provide ‘gentle demolition’ to the building, which formerly housed the Prince George Food Bank in the County Complex. Once this phase of the project is completed, Bowman and others can seek grant funding knowing what the project will fully entail.
