Celebrate National Poetry Month: Poetry, Prose & Pizza at the Prince George Library
Hopewell, Virginia, 03/27/2017 – The Hopewell/Prince George Friends of the Library invite you to an evening of “Poetry, Prose, and Pizza” at the Prince George Library on Thursday, April 6, at 6:00 p.m. Luca’s Italian Restaurant is providing pizza, the Friends of the Library will offer drinks, and Nathan Richardson, Virginia author and poet from the Suffolk area, will host this community gathering.
Mr. Richardson founded the “Poetry, Prose, and Pizza” program in the Chesapeake area of Virginia as an open mic event which allows participants to share their own poetry or prose or recite favorite selections from other writers. All ages are welcome to attend and enjoy a slice of pizza from Luca’s while listening to the talented writers from our area or sharing a poem of their own. Participants may register for 5 minutes of mic time when they arrive at the library.
This event, which reviewers have said is “full of surprises that are sure to nourish your soul, spirit, and mind” is the perfect way to celebrate national poetry month.
