HAMILTON AVENUE CLOSURE AND DETOUR PLANNED ON TEMPLE AVENUE PROJECT IN COLONIAL HEIGHTS

COLONIAL HEIGHTS – Starting June 16, crews on the I-95 Temple Avenue project will close Hamilton Avenue between Temple Avenue and Prince Albert Avenue to complete road work and off-road drainage installation at that location. The closure is expected to remain in place continuously until fall 2017.

Local drivers can use the following posted detour:

• Continue on Temple Avenue west to the Boulevard/Route 1 south. Take James Avenue to Snead Avenue, then take MacArthur Avenue back to Hamilton Avenue.

Construction on the interchange improvement project continues on schedule. Completion is expected in late 2017.
