Route 630 (Golf Course Drive to Close for Bridge Replacement Project

Prince George, VA - Weather permitting, crews will close Route 630 (Golf Course Drive) between Route 627 (Pumphouse Road) and Route 156 (Prince George Drive) starting on Monday, July 24 for a bridge replacement project.

There is a map that depicts the suggested detour and indicates with a red pin where the bridge is located that will be closed.
Drivers should follow the posted detour route:

Eastbound traffic – Route 156 (Prince George Drive) to Route 626 (Thweatt Drive) to Route 627 (Pumphouse Road) to Route 630 (Golf Course Drive)
Westbound traffic – Route 630 (Golf Course Drive) to Route 627 (Pumphouse Road) to Route 626 (Thweatt Drive) to Route 156 (Prince George Drive)

Anyone with questions about the project can call VDOT’s customer service center at 800-FOR-ROAD (800-367-7623). The bridge replacement project is expected to be complete in the fall of 2024. The bridge will be fully closed to traffic.
