 (Prince George, VA) – Arrest made in J.E.J Moore Middle School Threat.

 On February 1, 2024, the Prince George County Police Department received information regarding threats that a school shooting was going to occur at J.E.J. Moore Middle School.  The threats were posted on a social media platform.  Officers worked with the Prince George County school administration to investigate the incident and to provide additional security safeguards.  Within approximately three (3) hours of the reporting, the person responsible for the threats was identified and arrested. 

A 13-year-old male student from Prince George County is charged with two counts of threats of death or bodily injury to persons on school property.

The Prince George County Police Department, in partnership with the Prince George County Schools, remains committed to keeping our children, staff, parents and our community safe.  Anyone with information related to school threats is asked to notify the Prince George Police Department at (804) 733-2773.
