February 13 - Department of Utilities Updates for the Neighborhoods of Chappell Creek and Beechwood Manor

Connection of the Central Water System to the neighborhoods of Beechwood Manor & Chappell Creek
 
*Prince George County Utilities has completed all of the connections to the Central Water System in the Beechwood Manor and Chappell Creek neighborhoods. Customers in these neighborhoods are asked to run water at their homes for at least five (5) minutes before enjoying the water. Flushing activities for the neighborhoods of Eagle Preserve and Jordan on the James will occur on Wednesday, February 14. Flushing will begin no earlier than 9:00 AM. All activities are expected to be completed by 4:00 PM.*

Current Status:
3:10 PM -
Flushing is complete on Sassafras Drive, Forsythia Drive, Willow Court, Collingwood Drive, Jenny Creek Drive, and the remaining portion of Butternut Drive. Customers along these roads are asked to run water at their homes for at least five (5) minutes before enjoying the water.

12:30 PM - Flushing is complete on Marlbank Drive and Lemonwood Drive in the Beechwood Manor neighborhood.  Customers along these roads are asked to run water at their homes for at least five (5) minutes before enjoying the water.

Work is underway on Sassafras Drive, Forsythia Drive, Willow Court, Collingwood Drive, Jenny Creek Drive, and the remaining portion of Butternut Drive. 

11:35 AM -
Flushing is complete on Appletree Lane, Ironwood Drive, Whitepine Drive, the section of Butternut Drive from Beaver Castle to Sassafras Drive, and Peachtree Drive in the Beechwood Manor neighborhood. Customers along these roads are asked to run water at their homes for at least five (5) minutes before enjoying the water.

Work is underway on Marlbank Drive and Lemonwood Drive.

10:30 AM -
The connection to Chappell Creek Neighborhood is complete. Customers should run water at their homes for at least five (5) minutes to remove water from their service lines and taps before enjoying their water. 

9:22 AM -
The Prince George County Utilities have begun activities to complete the new waterline extension of the Central Water System to the Beechwood Manor & Chappell Creek neighborhoods.

Residents are advised to continue to monitor this page. Upon connection, the County will systematically flush all water lines in these neighborhoods to ensure all well water in the system has been removed and replaced with water served by the Appomattox River Water Authority. Water should not be consumed during this transition period. It is safe to shower, and wash dishes and clothes. 

Customers will be instructed to run the water at their homes for at least five (5) minutes to remove water from their service lines and taps within their homes.

Weather permitting, flushing activities are scheduled for Wednesday, February 14. Flushing will begin no earlier than 9:00 AM and is anticipated to be completed by 4:00 PM.
