Police Investigating Fatal Crash

(Prince George, VA) – Police Investigating Fatal Crash

On February 29, 2024, at 1:42 AM, the Prince George County Police Department responded to Walton Lake Road at Lamore Drive for a single-vehicle crash. A white 2010 Chevrolet Impala was traveling westbound on Lamore Drive when it ran through a stop sign, striking heavy brush and a tree.

The driver of the Impala, identified as Mark Frederick Hart, age 64, of Prince George County, was transported to Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center, where Mr. Hart succumbed to injuries.

Officers are working with the Medical Examiner’s Office to determine the cause and circumstances of the crash.
