The Prince George County Utility Department will be flushing water mains in various County Subdivisions during the hours of 9:00 am to 5:00 pm the weeks of April 1, 2016 through May 31, 2016.
The flushing may be performed in the following areas:
Baxter Ridge
Beechwood Manor
Birchett Estates
Bland Ridge
Branchester Lakes
Cedarwood Subdivision
Commonwealth Acres
County Drive Area
Jefferson Park Road
Jordan on the James Subdivision
Laurel Spring Road
Lee Acres
Manchester Mills
The Meadows
Newstead Farms
Prince George Drive
Prince George Woods
Puddledock Road Area
River's Edge Subdivision
Temporary road signs will be posted in these areas when flushing is occurring. There may be some fluctuations in water pressure and discoloration during this time. Running the tap in your home or business for a minute or two will alert you to any discoloration. If you experience any discolored water, you should continue to run the water until it runs clear and avoid washing clothing until the water clears up.
The annual flushing of water lines by the Prince George Utility Department is done to ensure its customers of the cleanest possible water.
